Smoke Rings

Good Bye!!!!

So it seems 2016 has been the year of saying goodbyes, and with that being said Smoke Rings will be retiring as a band today.

It’s been a wonderful 3+ years and we love everyone who has been a part of this project, played shows with us, helped us on tour, and encountered us in countless other ways on our journey.

On our exit we give you all our last batch of songs: .

Good bye – Smoke Rings

We have released our fist official music video for our track "Make It Weird". It documents the misadventures of our 2016 West Coast Tour.

We will be hitting the road soon in support of our new album "Boxes". See you soon in a city near you (if you live on the west coast).

Our new album is now available

Announcing our BOXES LP tape release

We are excited to announce the release of our first full length LP "Boxes". We will be celebrating its arrival on January 16th at The Lovecraft Bar with Die Robot and DJ Horrid. We will have limited edition cassettes available at the release show and online.

Check out our new drummer

We're playing our first show with our new drummer Jason!  It's Friday November 20th at High Water Mark.

P.S. We got tapes... stay tuned for details about the release show...

Finished mixing this weekend

We wrapped up mixing on our upcoming album with the audio genius of Maus at Red Lantern Studios. Here's a pic Mark took of the rest of us while recording. It's sexy in that warm red light. Stay tuned for more news on the new album.

Recordings are in the works

We spent last weekend recording our next release at Red Lantern Studios and we're excited to share them. In other wonderful news we have a really fun show coming up. We will be celebrating the release of the new album by Muzzy on March 29th at the High Water Mark.

Come see us this Saturday at Habesha

We're playing an action packed bill this Saturday at Habesha with Consumer, The Translucent Spiders, Mall Caste and Beatrix Sky from Olympia. This month also marks our 2 year anniversary of playing shows so come celebrate!

Happy Birthday to The Know

We had a blast this weekend being a part of The Knows 10 year anniversary. Here's some great video that got taken during our set.

Thanks to the Ranch!!!

We played The Ranch for the first time last week and it was a total blast. Got the pleasure of seeing Steel Chains play their first show and absolutely slay it. Thanks for Wretched of the Earth for asking us to join in their LP release fun!. Next up we're playing with our buddies Is/Is for The Know's 10 year anniversary. See ya next year

Join us for the after party to the screening of Sound and Chaos

We get the honor of playing the after party for the screening of Sound and Chaos, the documentary about BC Studios and Producer Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans, Afrika Bambaataa). It's free so come hang and check out the film at Hollywood Theatre before hand.

Our July show with Baus

We're playing next week at the Foggy Notion with Baus from Oakland.
